In the field of contemporary glass art, a new movement occurred during the 1950’s in the Czech Republic and the 1960’s in the United States using glass as a new material for expression of creative arts.

Today, more than a half-century of contemporary glass art history has proven glass has limitless possibilities for artistic expression. The city of Toyama, will exhibit the latest creations of contemporary glass art from all over the world, appreciating and accessing their artistry.
