John Miller Power2Give

Don't miss John Miller’s appearance on Hot Shop Live Show! on June 18 at Museum of Glass.

So, what is the Hot Shop Live Show!?
Hot Shop Live Show! is a high energy, content-rich entertainment show that focuses on a contemporary artist working in glass for a five day residency at Museum of Glass. Through live demonstrations in the Hot Shop, interviews with special guests and musical performances, Hot Shop Live Show! offers viewers, both online and at the Museum, various entry points and connections to see glass art and artmaking within the wider context of arts and culture.

What is John Miller planning to do on Hot Shop Live Show!?
John Miller will be creating car inspired glass objects in a partnership with LeMay- America's Car Museum. Miller is known for creating 1950’s Americana inspired artwork. In the past Miller has created food and beverage items such as hamburgers, hotdogs, wings, and pints. For his car inspired art, Miller has made giant screwdrivers, keys, and hood ornaments. What exactly Miller will make for his appearance on the show is anybody’s guess, but he has narrowed it down to something based off his love for cars.

How much does this cost?
In all, a residency costs around $25,000 and that’s not taking in account for Hot Shop Live Show! Since there are additional costs, we need your help. We still need to raise funds to cover for additional staffing as well as entertainment costs such as a band, and stipends for guests of the show. In addition to those costs, we need to be able to have the essentials for producing a show. These costs include renting more cameras as well as covering other communication and promotional costs.

The crowd-funding campaign ran from April 1 through May 31.
