Description
Join the dynamic Museum of Glass team! We are seeking volunteer artists and educators to support Education Studio programming. Designed as an interactive, experimental learning space, the Education Studio operates as a thematic extension of the Museum’s exhibitions. Volunteer artists and educators will present a wide variety of projects and activities to Museum visitors, diversified in ages and backgrounds.
Volunteer artists and educators wishing to be considered for the Education Studio Residency have proven themselves to be strong educators, as well as practicing artists.
Essential Responsibilities
- Direct activities in the Museum drop-in studio space
- Prepare and identify supplies for the Studio
- Assist with management of tour groups
- Maintain a clean and organized studio space
- Research and learn all exhibition content
- Additional duties as assigned in support of the mission of the Museum
Minimum Qualifications
- Art background: 2 – 3 year experience
- Background working with children and families
- Strong communication, leadership and personal skills
- Solid organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work as a team player
