Team Chihuly

Watch Dale Chihuly and Team Chihuly in the Hot Shop
on Saturday, February 3

For one day only, the Museum is pleased to host Dale Chihuly and Team Chihuly for a special appearance in the Hot Shop. On February 3 from 1 to 5 pm, Team Chihuly will demonstrate the art of making Ikebana, large-scale Venetian vessels that contain one to three long-stemmed glass flowers and leaves.

Four 55-minute sessions are scheduled beginning at 1 pm, 2 pm, 3 pm and 4 pm. We will distribute timed tickets for the Hot Shop demonstrations with a special event fee of $5 plus regular admission (children under age 6 and Museum of Glass members are free). Arrive early—we will begin issuing tickets at 10 am on a first come, first served basis. Mr. Chihuly will also conduct a Chihuly Art Kit signing session from 1 to 1:30 pm in the Museum’s Grand Hall.

Please note: The Hot Shop will be closed until 1 pm. Artist James Minson will demonstrate flame working techniques in the Grand Hall from 10 am to 5 pm.
