FREE reception in the Museum Store
5:30 – 8 pm Saturday
Meet iittala master glassblower Arto Lahtinenand enjoy light refreshments and a no-host bar.

iittala Bird Demonstrations in the Hot Shop
Friday, 10 am – 5 pm; Saturday 10 am – 7 pm; Sunday 12 – 5 pm
Arto Lahtinen will work with the MOG Hot Shop Team to create a variety of Birds by Toikka designs—including all five designs of previous MOG birds.

Live Bird Visits
1 – 2 pm Friday and Saturday
Meet the feathered ambassadors from Pt. Defiance Zoo and Aquarium


Artist Larry Calkins assists a Family Day participantHands-On Art Activity

Bend and twist wire into a fantastical bird sculpture with artist-in-residence Larry Calkins.

Family Day: For the Birds

Classify your inner bird genus with artist Jennifer Adams and then design a costume and unique bird dance.

 

Lecture: Factory vs. Studio Glass
2 – 3 pm Sunday
Learn about the different processes of glassmaking with artist and historian Walter Lieberman.
