Visiting Artist Residency Program Collection

Since its inception, the Museum of Glass has collected works in conjunction with the Visiting Artist Residency Program.  Most Visiting Artists donate one work created during his or her residency.  The work is selected by the artist in collaboration with the Director, Curator, and/or members of the Curatorial department.  This growing collection consists of works of art created in the Hot Shop, many by internationally renowned artists, and provides a strong basis for the contemporary collection by conveying the styles and techniques of artists living today. These pieces also document the history of the Museum of Glass and the Museum’s role in stimulating artists’ creativity.

Objects from this Collection are displayed periodically in the Museum's galleries, Grand Hall, Hot Shop balcony and Art Alley.
