The unique architecture of the Museum of Glass is a work of art in itself. In addition to the distinctive Cone, our outdoor plazas feature reflecting pools that highlight the interplay of Northwest weather and light on the evocative glass sculptures that are placed in or near the water.

Dale Chihuly
Chihuly Bridge of GlassThe Chihuly Bridge of Glass is a public art installation owned by the City of Tacoma. This 500-foot-long pedestrian overpass features the art of Tacoma native Dale Chihuly, whose imaginative and exuberant art is recognized worldwide and links the Museum with downtown Tacoma.

Water ForestWater Forest is the second public artwork owned by the City of Tacoma installed on the Museum of Glass plazas. This interactive sculpture was inspired by the rise and fall of the tides. and is located on the Museum’s Main Plaza.
