The term sandcasted glass has come to be inextricably linked with Bertil Vallien. He took up and developed this originally industrial technique and continues to explore its possibilities with molten glass. During his residency, Vallien will demonstrate his groundbreaking method and create new works incorporating inclusions created in advance by Norman Courtney (who will be in the MOG Hot Shop on September 5).
