Rewind: Anne Wilson and the 2006 Summer Series

By Justin Kuravackal, July 14, 2007 | Photos

Anne Wilson, who was a visiting artist almost exactly a year ago, just left a comment on the blog, and it got me to think about last year’s Summer Series. Anne was in the Hot Shop working with our team to create parts for a piece called Rewind. It seemed like we made hundreds of spools of thread out of glass that week. Anne was interested in the resurgence of sewing and knitting and how when more and more of life is lived in a virtual world people seem to thirst for the tactile. Anne is putting up a website about this project, and I’ll link it here when it’s live. annewilsonartist.com/projects/rewinds.

So rewind and take a look at images from Anne Wilson’s 2006 residency.
