Beverly Semmes’ Process Video

By Justin Kuravackal, July 20, 2007 | Video; Semmes, Beverly

Beverly and our team are making large clear glass vessels that relate to some of Beverly’s earlier ceramic work. They are sculpted vessels, not blown, and their construction is similar to a coil pot. Did I mention handles? Lots of handles. She has made some of these kinds of forms before, at Pilchuck and Urban Glass and plans to use them in her installation work, perhaps alongside the enormous fabric creations she is best known for.
