MOG Blogs Visiting Artists

Greg Dietrich’s Vessels to be Available in MOG Store

By Justin Kuravackal, June 26, 2007 | Dietrich, Greg

Usually, when we invite artists to do a residency in the Hot Shop, the work they make is theirs to keep (minus one piece that is donated to the Museum).  Many artists use work made here as parts of other artwork and often the artist may take glass made here and paint on it, sandblast it, cut it, etc.

However, almost everything Greg made during his residency will be available in the Museum of Glass Store.  Greg really wanted people who saw the process to be able to come back and see the finished pieces.  Once all the pieces are ready for the store shelves, I’ll post a link to them and their photos here.  (By the way, the online store is undergoing an extreme makeover right now and–fingers crossed–we’ll launch the brand new store some time next week.)

It was great residency…  Now we’re looking forward to Michael Rogers.
