Yarrington Video: Experimenting with Glass and Light

By Justin Kuravackal, May 25, 2007 | Yarrington, Jo

This morning, I caught some footage of Jo Yarrington, this week’s visiting artist (also in our show Transparently Built), playing with how light passes through large glass rondels we made in the Hot Shop during day one of her residency. Looks like it’s turning into a performance piece…Music: Revolve by hisboyelroy

Stay Tuned…
This summer, we’ll be launching a new blog just for visiting artists and publishing more video (here, on YouTube and others, and as video podcasts.)

The video is kinda dark, but the light passing through the glass is pretty cool. I think what the light does around the edges is the most interesting part–reminds me of solar flares.
