Lino Tagliapietra is back in the Hot Shop for one more 5-day Visiting Artist residency! His exhibition, Lino Tagliapietra in Retrospect: A Modern Renaissance in Italian Glass, has inspired visitors all spring. Don’t miss your opportunity to see the man who created the amazing art as he takes a seat at the artist’s bench in the Hot Shop.

Widely revered as the maestro of glassblowing, Lino was instrumental in promoting the early Studio Glass movement in the Pacific Northwest. In 1979, he first came to Pilchuck Glass School and shared with American glassmakers his vast knowledge gained from years of work in the Murano glass community. This act began a chain reaction of shared knowledge that universally elevated the art and craft of glassmaking and changed the course of contemporary glass.
