Ikebana, the Japanese art of flower arranging, has inspired many glassblowers, including Dale Chihuly. Come and see original floral arrangements created by the Tacoma Chapter of Ikebana International using select glass vessels from our Store. The Ikebana displays will be on view all weekend.

On Saturday, you can learn the techniques of the art form. Watch Ikebana International artists demonstrate in the Grand Hall between 10 am and noon. Then, from 1 to 3 pm, Patricia Smith will lead a free hands-on activity in the Education Studio. All of the glass vessels used will be available for purchase in the Museum Store so you can take them home and try your hand at creating your own Ikebana masterpiece.
