Education Committee: Chaired by Annette Holzworth

The Education Committee met and discussed the following:

• Preschool Tours: The tour format has been based on the Czech Glass exhibition, which is no longer in the Museum. The new focus will be on the first section of the Joyce J. Scott exhibition featuring weaving and quilting, as this subject matter (family traditions) is most appropriate and familiar to young visitors. The group art project will focus on weaving with the young visitors exploring different textures and patterns.
• The Committee discussed preliminary plans for an informal docent gathering (especially gallery docents although everyone is welcome). This would be a chance for docents to share ideas about presenting the two new exhibits, and tell what is working with different age groups.
