…Questions You May Have for the Nominating Committee

The Nominating Committee is up and running and soon will be contacting the Docent Association member to see who may be interested in running for the Docent Council. To help you decided whether or not this is something you would like to participate in, the Nominating Committee has come up with the following questions and answers:

1. I am interested in running, but I am concerned about adding another time commitment onto my already busy schedule. What are the expectation?

The Docent Council meets on the third Thursday of each month at 5 pm. The meetings generally run for an hour.

2. Do I have to serve on a committee?

There are two working committees at this time, the Education Committee and the Communication Committee meet three to four times year and are open to all members of the Docent Association. As a member of the Docent Council, you do not have to serve on a committee unless you are interested in doing so.

Serving on the Docent Council gives you the opportunity to share some of your creative ideas and see them put into action. If you are interested in running and have now been contacted please feel free to call VickiKay Spalding, Dee Smethurst or Annette Holzworth.
