Blogging ALL MOG Exhibitions

3 kiosks We began this blog focused on the show Kickin’ It with Joyce J. Scott, and not only was it a part of the website, but the blog was the content for 3 kiosks in the gallery. I have to give a shout out to Carlos Taylor-Swanson, the owner of the soon to be open Gallery Madera, who brought my pencil sketches to life in beautiful hardwood.

Now that the Scott show has closed, we’re opening up the blog to discuss the ideas in any or all of the artwork at the Museum.

Currently, the show Fresh! Contemporary Takes on Nature and Allegory presents some challenging work and a not-so-optimistic view of Mother Nature’s future.

Transparently Built: A Group Show of Glass Installations explores glass as a player in architecture and environment.

A long-running exhibition that opens in about a week, is called Contrasts: A Glass Primer; it’s designed to highlight opposing ideas, techniques and styles, and it brings together some big names like Louis Comfort Tiffany, Dale Chihuly and Frank Lloyd Wright.

You’ll see posts on these exhibitions coming up…
