More Music Inspired by Jim Campbell

For Josh Maul, Jim Campbell’s exhibition was too rich to inspire just one piece of music. Part of resDeus, the band whose tune is part of our latest podcast, Josh wrote a song inspired by the artwork and recorded it with his girlfriend, Lizzie, as part of a project they’re calling everGREEN.

It’s called Final Day, and the mournful sound and lyrics seem to refer to Campbell’s piece Last Day in the Beginning of March, which is a subtle yet surprisingly powerful visual narrative of the final day in the life of the artist’s brother.

By the way, we LOVE this kind of thing at MOG. Do something creative inspired by something you see at the Museum and let us know — chances are we’ll link to it here or maybe even use it in a film or podcast (if that’s cool with you, of course). If you have an idea or a finished product, shoot me an email: webmaster [at] museumofglass [dot] org.
